Educational Resources
The rich patient care experiences are supplemented by a formal teaching program. Four conferences per week are offered, including core curriculum
lectures, clinical care conferences, journal club, Cardiac cath conference. These are supplemented by weekly medicine grand rounds and ethics and
interdisciplinary conference.

 

 

The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport is a part of the LSU System, which is a statewide network of six professional schools and associated Hospitals. The LSUHSC-
Shreveport benefits from the shared resources of the School of Allied Health Professions, the School of Graduate Studies and the University Hospital.

 

The Biomedical Research Institute of Northwest Louisiana, a privately-funded organization, provides a unique local source for research. This foundation spearheaded the fundraising effort that culminated in the construction of a new ten story research facility located adjacent to the School of Medicine.
