The Division of Cardiology at LSUHSC-S is committed to achieving excellence in patient care, training young physicians to become Cardiovascular specialists, and searching for newer diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.

We have state of the art facilities for diagnosis of diseases affecting the blood vessels, heart valves, and myocardial tissue. These facilities include ECG, exercise stress testing, echocardiography, cardiac CT, PET scanner, coronary interventions, electrophysiology, and nuclear medicine evaluation. Our faculty includes experts in arrhythmia treatment, intracoronary intervention and cardiac surgery.

We train physicians who will teach and practice cardiovascular medicine in communities here in the United States and abroad.

Interviews will be scheduled during March and April of 2008. Applications should be submitted thru ERAS and the deadline is January 31, 2008. Please do not send duplicate information by email, regular mail or fax.

All applicants for fellowship must be U.S. citizens or have permanent resident status, employment authorization or eligibility for a J-1 visa. The LSU Health Sciences Center generally prohibits offering H-1 visas to house officers.
