Mission Statement

The Department of Medicine, Cardiology Division of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana offers subspecialty training designed to produce competent subspecialtists in Cardiology who are prepared for practice in a variety of settings or for an academic career. The program emphasizes excellence of patient care in a nurturing educational environment where there is close personal interaction between residents and a dedicated faculty.
